May in the valley

In that way we have of having short memories, it feels as if spring has always been here. But now the valley is looking towards the heat of summer. Great globes of seeds are waiting for the breeze to shed new life, while baby fruits are becoming adolescent. The rambling rose outside my study is laden with red blooms, and the view across the valley is probably at the greenest it gets all year.

5 to remember
un globo – a globe
convertirse en – to become
adolescente – adolescent
trepador – rambling
el más verde – the greenest
