Sun, rain and frost: the result, shattered and splintered rock. Thankfully this rock fall happened at the opposite side of the valley where the camino serves the last two olive farmers before disappearing into nothing. There is no through road, no circular route, we walk along the track, following the riverbank, until the track simply fades into the earth of the olive groves. The only people who drive this way are the olive farmers on their tractors. So the rockfall poses no problem for them. It is nature’s way, taking its toll on the valley, shaping it as one season progresses to the next.
