Outside our kitchen door grows a robinia tree, otherwise known as ‘false acacia’. Its seed pods are small and light and easily carry long distances, each seed pod contains between four and ten seeds. The seeds are said to be edible [cooked or raw] but we haven’t sampled them. We are content to enjoy the cream blossom in springtime, the shade of the summer foliage, and the colour of the autumn leaves. 5 to remember
