Otter holts?

Quite excited, on a walk beside the river we’ve spotted some burrows just above the water line. Could they belong to otters? otter holes2 25-4-13An otter hole is called a holt or couch.

We have seen no other trace of them on land, though there are European otters in Spain. There are plenty of fish, barbel, in the river for them to eat. otter holes1 25-4-135 to remember
